Yu Qian is China Program Director of International Crane Foundation (ICF). Before joining ICF, she worked for The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for 12 years. She provided technical support to the development of “China Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (2011-2030)” which was issued by the State Council in 2010, studied US land tenure model introduction to China, and managed external affairs of TNC China. Yu Qian co-authored books "China's Biodiversity Geographic Atlas" and "Protecting China's Biodiversity: A Guide to Land Use", Land Tenure & Land Protection Tools" and “Cranes of China”. Yu Qian got her master degree in Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
