Digital ID in Driving Social Protection - Learning from India

To effectively deliver social protection schemes, organizations have to deal with policy and technology challenges, as well as difficulties in program implementation and personnel capacity. In India, the use of a digital ID system facilitated social protection services. The country's ID system, called the Aadhaar,  provided seamless delivery of government and private sector services, facilitated the country's social assistance programs, and extended their benefits to larger segments of the population.
