Daniel Deere is a consulting water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) specialist. Of relevance to this webinar he is currently supporting: Water Research Australia as Project Manager on the Collaboration on Sewage Surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 (ColoSSoS) project covering Australia and New Zealand; WHO as a Member of the Guidelines Development Group updating the Environmental surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 to complement clinical surveillance guideline; European Commission Joint Research Centre and Global Water Research Coalition as a Member of the team developing the High-level guidance document on COVID-19 sewage surveillance research strategy; and the Water Services Association of Australia as a member of the COVID-19 Water Sector Response Taskforce. He has previously provided support to ADB for multiple projects, including mainstreaming water and sanitation safety planning guidance across ADB programs, as well as specific projects in major centers in the Philippines and southern China. He holds a PhD in water microbiology (Liverpool Univ) and BSc (H1) in Biotechnology (Leeds Univ).
