Frederic will work within the SDCC team primarily on climate finance; he will assist with securing external funding sources and with supporting ADB operational teams in structuring climate change projects and in formulating programmatic country engagements. Frederic has 20 years international working experience in project and program management, with expertise in the energy sector (renewable and urban energy), climate finance, and sustainable urban development. He has experience in new project development, investment lending supervision and in large trust fund management. Frederic has spent over 15 years in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and has worked in Southeast Asia and in the Pacific Islands. Prior to joining the ADB Frederic was a Program Director for Urbanizationwith GIZ China*. He has held staff positions at the World Bank in Washington and in Beijing as a Senior EnergySpecialist. Frederic has also worked in the renewable energy sector based in the PRC with AEA Technology (United Kingdom) and with Integration Energy & Environment (Germany). Frederic is a dual national from Germany and France. He obtained graduate and post-graduate law degrees from Paris XI University (France), an MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (United States) and a Dual Executive MBA from INSEAD (France/Singapore) and the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University in Beijing (PRC).
He left his position in ADB in August 2021.
