Thomas Herz

Mr. Thomas Herz is a Senior Transport Specialist with the Central West Asia Department. A German national, he has more than 25 years of experience in the transport sector spanning the entire project cycle from project inception, processing, implementation, and asset management. For various institutions, he helped build transport infrastructure and provided technical assistance in support of transport sector improvement in developing and developed countries. He advised Governments or led project teams in USA, Germany, Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia. Mr. Herz holds a Masters of Arts in Economic and Social Geography, with focus on Transport, Sociology and Spatial Planning, from Ludwig Maximilian’s University, Munich, Germany.
