Good Practice in STEM education
The first part of the session shares some best practices in STEM education as well as some of the key findings from an ADB-funded study to map the state of STEM education in four developing member countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kyrgyz Republic, and Uzbekistan). Some recommendations to enhance the state of STEM education further are also shared.
The second part of the session introduces the STEAM model of the city of Turku, Finland. STEAM Turku creates a new education operating model for the City of Turku for increasing the attractiveness of science and technology. It builds a science and technology path combining early childhood, basic and upper secondary level education.
