How can we support girls and young women to gain the required skills in the transition to a greener and more resilient world? This session will discuss key aspects of investments in girls’ education that need urgent attention in the context of the climate crisis and COVID-19 recovery.

The pandemic has put at risk decades of progress in girls’ education in the region, while there are remaining challenges, such as ensuring that girls have access to STEM education, that the digital divide does not impede girls access to education, and that girls living in fragile, conflict-affected or climate-vulnerable environments can continue to learn in safe and supportive environments.
