Jaiganesh Murugesan is working as a Disaster Risk Management Specialist / TA Coordinator (Consultant), managing the implementation of ADB’s Technical Assistance “Strengthening Climate and Disaster Resilience of Myanmar Communities” project based in Myanmar. Among others, he is closely involved in coordinating the disaster risk modeling work, development of online GIS platform “Myanmar Unified platform for Disaster Risk Applications” and enhancing the government’s capacity to use climate and disaster risk-informed decision making.
Jaiganesh has over 15 years of experience in designing and implementing climate and disaster resilience projects in South Asia, South East Asia, and China. Prior to consulting with ADB, he worked with UN-Habitat and UNDP in Myanmar, Asian Disaster Preparedness Center based in Thailand, and with UNDP Bhutan and India.
