Dr. Annadel Salvio Cabanban is the Head of Office of Wetlands International Philippines and Program Manager for To Plant or Not to Plant and Building with Nature Initiative Asia – Philippines. She is trained as a Marine Biologist at the University of the Philippines, Quezon City, and at James Cook University, Townsville City (Australia). She received her Bachelor of Science at Silliman University, Dumaguete City, and was with the academe for almost 30 years. Annadel has worked with the United Nations Environment Programme, United Nations Office for Project Services, and the Asian Development Bank in regional projects funded by the Global Environment Facility for the sustainable use of the coastal and marine environment and resources. She has also participated in marine conservation projects of Conservation International and the World Wide Fund for Nature. She is also a volunteer of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.
