Lakshmi Boojoo is a PhD candidate at the National University of Mongolia and holds a master degree in Economics from the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (Germany). Lakshmi has more than 10 years of professional working experience in private and non-governmental organizations in Mongolia.
 
Before joining the Economic Policy and Competitiveness Research Center in 2010, Ms. Lakshmi worked as head of the Marketing Department of Migma Co.Ltd (2002 – 2006), and as Managing Director of Naran Motors Co.Ltd (official Dealer of BMW in Mongolia) (2007 – 2010). Since 2010 Ms. Lakshmi has been the Director of Economic Policy and Competitiveness Research Center.
 
Ms. Lakshmi has experience as a Researcher, Lecturer, Project Manager and is member of the Women Corporate Directors (Mongolia Chapter) and Financial Market Association of Mongolia. Her main areas of research are in competitiveness, finance, development economics, and green economy. Some of her published works include Mongolia in World Competitiveness, Provincial Competitiveness Report, One Road One Belt: Diversification of an Economy, Liberalization of the Air Market, Petroleum Sector Competitiveness.
 
She is also the key person in organizing the Mongolia Economic Forum. Ms. Lakshmi speaks German, Russian, and English.
