Measuring the Digital Economy

Over the years, digital technologies have developed at an incessant pace and now play a prominent role in modern life activities. In response to this, development, academic, and private institutions have started developing methods to measure digitalization. ADB’s Statistics and Data Innovations Unit is developing a framework that uses national accounts and input-output analysis to better understand how the digital economy adds to a country’s gross domestic product.
