  • Wang Jin, male, was born in October 1960 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. He is now a full professor at Peking University Law School, the director of Peking University Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Institute, and the director of Peking University Nuclear Policy and Law Research Center. Meanwhile, he serves as a Chinese member of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development, and a vice chairman of Environmental Law Branch of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences.
  • Prof. Wang Jin received his PhD degree in environmental law from Peking University Law School in 1997. Prior to this, he earned Master of Law from Wuhan University Law School in 1991 and Bachelor of Medicine from Wuhan Medical College in 1983.
  • His major research covers environmental law, and nuclear policy and law. His representative academic book, A Study of the Objectives of Environmental Law, published in 2000, was awarded in 2010 the Qian Duansheng Prize for Research in Law, the top academic award in PRC’s law field.
  • Since his involvement in revising the Environmental Protection Law of the PRC in 1986, he has participated in drafting and revising the country’s environment and resources protection laws, nuclear energy and nuclear safety laws and key environmental, as well as natural resources and energy regulations and rules.
