Profile / Bio: 

Nadeen Madkour is an Egyptian national based in Sydney, Australia.

She is a research scientist working to better understand the role of race, gender, and peace in international development, particularly their application by Multilateral Development Banks. Her research interests cover a broad spectrum including the intersection of gender and development, postcolonial feminist theories, and the impact of neoliberalism on development and international political economy. 

She has worked in the non-profit sector and was part of global campaigns calling for the minimization of forced displacement and end to illegitimate debt in the Asia-Pacific & the Middle East.
