Bakytgul Khambar is providing expert and analytical support for building an integrated national financing system in the Republic of Kazakhstan. She conducted gender analysis of the documents of the local executive body for planning and budgeting for the period 2017-2020 (on the example of Akmola region) and participated in other projects and served as speaker and moderator at seminars for NGOs and government agencies. She served as Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Development and Economic Research before working as Director of the Center for Strategic and Competitiveness Research/Center for Strategic Research and Sustainable Development.
Bakytgul is also an independent expert of the National Center for Scientific and Technical Expertise and JSC "Science Fund" and received the following awards: certificates of honour from the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and a jubilee medal from the 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2016. She has co-published 2 monographs: “New model of state planning in the Republic of Kazakhstan,” 2010, and “Evaluation of the effectiveness of the implementation of state programs,” 2009
