FinTech, RegTech, and the Reconceptualization of Financial Regulation

Hong Kong University's Professor Douglas Arner traced the roots and evolution of financial technology and the application of technology to regulation (RegTech). He compared these two concepts, and discussed how RegTech has grown broader than finance and why it will play a key role in the impending paradigm shift in finance and industry regulation.
