Arndt Husar

Arndt manages communications and knowledge initiatives and associated knowledge products, capacity building initiatives, and stakeholder engagement for the South Asia Regional Department. He supports core functions, such as strategic programming, country partnership strategy oversight, quality assurance, and portfolio management. Arndt also advises senior management on the identification of strategic directions and priorities.

Previously, he advised ADB operations and stakeholders in developing member countries on digital transformation. As Senior Public Management Specialist in the Digital Technology for Development Division (CCDT) he provided technical assistance, knowledge and capacity development support on data management, technology risks, tech start-up ecosystems, and digital transformation strategies. He has authored reports and working papers on various technology-related topics as well as the future of transport. Arndt has been involved in futures thinking and foresight activities at ADB, co-leading foresight projects of the transport sector group as well as country-level activities.

Prior to ADB, Arndt worked with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) at national, regional, and global levels. He holds a master’s degree in spatial planning from TU Dortmund University, Germany.
