Zhenzhen Zheng

Profile / Bio: 

ZHENG Zhenzhen is currently a professor at the Institute of Population and Labor Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Prior to this, she was associate professor at Peking University.  She served as a consultant in the Scientific and Technical Advisory Group of Department of Reproductive health and Research, World Health Organization, from 2006 to 2011. She is currently a member of International Union for the Scientific Study of Population and executive council member of China Population Association.  She received her Ph.D. in demography from Peking University, and she also holds an M.S. in medical informatics and M.S. in statistics. Her research interests including statistical demography, population and gender studies, and social science research in reproductive health. Her current research focuses on fertility intention and childbearing behavior, migration and rural women’s development, and ageing study.
