Janyna Rhor has been working on procurement in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia for more than 27 years. She is currently a Principal Procurement Specialist in the Procurement Division 2 of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), supporting the procurement portfolio of Bangladesh in the ADB Resident Mission in Dhaka.
Prior to her current position, Mrs. Rhor was assigned to the Regional Departments of East Asia, South East Asia, and Pacific in ADB HQ in Manila, providing procurement and consulting services advice to China, Mongolia, Indonesia, Philippines, and 14 Pacific island countries. Mrs. Rhor joined ADB in 2011.
From 2009 to 2011, Mrs. Rhor was a Senior Procurement Specialist in the World Bank outpost to the World Bank country offices in India and Pakistan. Between 1992 and 2009, she served as a Procurement Officer in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the country offices of Ecuador, Afghanistan, East Jerusalem, and Iraq.
Mrs. Rhor has conducted Business Opportunities Seminars (BOS) in Taipei,China, Seoul, Port Moresby, Ulaanbaatar, Berlin, Vienna, Istanbul, and Dhaka. She is an Italian national and graduated as a Sociologist from the Catholic University of Ecuador; she holds a post-graduate degree in Management of Hospitals of the San Francisco de Quito University and the LLM in Public Procurement Law (c.) of the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
