Albrecht Weerts

Albrecht Weerts is an expert on data model integration and hydrological forecasting at Deltares. He has been leading research and development projects on data assimilation techniques for improving flood forecasting system. He is also a Professor of Hydrologic Predictability at Wageningen University, Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management Group. He was an expert advisor on hydrological predictability and forecasting systems in several countries, including Brazil, Germany, Myanmar, the Republic of Korea, and the United States. He has a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Amsterdam and an MSc in Earth Science from Wageningen University & Research.
