As General Manager of the Center for International Cooperation at the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute (KFTC), Hae-Rok Ko is currently overseeing KFTC’s international cooperation business with other countries and international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank Group (WBG), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Since joining KFTC in 1993, Hae-Rok Ko gained considerable expertise and experiences related to payment and settlement infrastructure. In his early days at KFTC, he worked on digital wallet, integrated bill payment, and innovative promotion. He later served as the heads of foreign exchange business, electronic commerce, electronic financial planning teams. He is currently at the helm of international business and international cooperation as a general manager. He skillfully applies a wide range of expertise he has accumulated during his twenty-seven-plus years of work at KFTC to domestic and cross-border payment services.

Hae-Rok Ko has an MBA from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and a B.A. in English Education from Korea University.
