Tackling COVID-19: Economic and Financial Measures of the Republic of Korea

The inaugural Policy Actions for COVID-19 Economic Recovery (PACER) Dialogues on “Tackling COVID-19: Economic and Financial Measures of the Republic of Korea (ROK)” featured the successful, multi-faceted policy responses ROK is employing to address the COVID-19 crisis. Over 40 government officials from Southeast Asia and the People’s Republic of China participated in the Dialogue, sharing knowledge and experience on monetary, fiscal and financial measures countries are taking to mitigate the pandemic’s impacts.

The inaugural session of the PACER Dialogues aimed to: 

·         Promote better understanding of various policy responses being utilized to address the economic and social components of the COVID-19 pandemic; 

·         Highlight the experience of ROK in employing monetary, economic and fiscal policies to tackle COVID-19; and 

·         Provide a platform for policy makers to share knowledge and experience, and collaboratively learn from each other.​
