International Anticorruption Day 2019 - Building a Community of Integrity Champions: Collaborating with the Private Sector
The private sector plays an important role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Operational Priorities of Strategy 2030 and in promoting integrity. In celebration of 2019 International Anticorruption Day, ADB’s Office of Anticorruption and Integrity held a knowledge-sharing session on Building a Community of Integrity Champions: Collaborating with the Private Sector. The program featured remarks from the ADB President, and guest speakers from the ASEAN Corporate Social Responsibility Network and Private Sector Collective Action against Corruption.
International Anticorruption Day 2019 aimed to provide ADB staff and stakeholders with the opportunity to: ·
- gain insights on how the private sector and governments can better work together to promote integrity and transparency;
- learn how ADB can strengthen governance in its member countries by promoting integrity in the private sector; and
- deepen understanding on the importance of integrity and anticorruption in influencing positive change in regional development.
