Profile / Bio: 

Ming Zhao has been working on energy-related business for about 20 years, starting as a consultant on environment management systems (EMS) and energy efficiency. After her study in the UK on EMS in 2004, she started focusing on the promotion of the ESCO industry in the People's Republic of China (PRC). She has been working on national policy recommendations involving the national five-year plan for energy efficiency. She is also a visiting researcher at the Berkeley National Lab and KAPSARC in Saudi Arabia, working on policy analysis and ESCO industry research. She has served as the Deputy Executive Director and Secretary General of EMCA for more than 10 years, where she was responsible for training, marketing, membership management, information dissemination, and international cooperation. She is also the co-chair of the Asia-Pacific ESCO industry Alliance.
