Said Zaidansyah, an Indonesian national, is the Country Director for Papua New Guinea at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) since 1 August 2023. In this position, he leads ADB’s entire operations in Papua New Guinea including managing ADB’s relationship with the government and stakeholders including the private sector and NGO as well as oversee the implementation of ADB’s Country Partnership Strategy with the government. Prior to this, he was the ADB Deputy Country Director for Indonesia from November 2018.
Before that he was in ADB’s Office of the General Counsel and held increasing levels of responsibilities until Principal Counsel. He joined ADB under the prestigious Young Professional Program in 2002. Before joining ADB, Mr. Zaidansyah was a lawyer with Baker & McKenzie. Mr. Zaidansyah graduated with LLM from Queen Mary College of University of London under British Chevening scholarship, and LLB from University of Indonesia.
