Bangladesh takes pride of its efforts in leaning towards energy efficiency and sustainability. In 2014, the government set up the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority under the Ministry of Power Energy and Mineral Resources. This government agency has been tasked to promote the use of renewable energy to promote energy efficiency.
