Emma Marsden, a Senior Environment Specialist, works in the Safeguards Division of the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department at ADB. Her responsibilities include supporting the implementation of the Safeguard Policy Statement. Her main areas of interest are pollution and health. Emma has a BSc in Environmental Management from Lancaster University and an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She has 20 years of experience in the field of environmental and sustainability assessment. Before joining ADB, she worked for 15 years in environmental consultancy where she managed and coordinated EIAs including for wind energy and urban development.
