Hironori Mochiki joined the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. He has held various positions in governmental bodies. He has also worked at the Consul General of Japan in Vancouver. Since April 2014, he has served as a Director General of Smart Community Department of NEDO, and he serves as Vice Secretary General of the Japan Smart Community Alliance (JSCA).
