Charlotte Benson is the Principal Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the Asian Development Bank. She has over 30 years’ experience working on the economic and financial aspects of disaster risk management in developing countries. Her work at ADB includes the development and coordination of ADB's disaster risk management policies and strategies and support to ADB’s operational departments in designing and implementing disaster risk management projects and programs, including disaster risk financing initiatives
She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Development Studies from the University of London.
