New CWEN Director appointed

Joonho Hwang goes back to where it all started, this time to lead the division and continue the legacies built in years’ past. Upon assumption of office, Joonho will leave the Cambodia Resident Mission where he has been its Principal Portfolio Management specialist since 2018. Joonho holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering and a Masters’ degree in Engineering Geology from Purdue University, United States.

He also has a Bachelors’ degree in Geology from Yonsei University, Republic of Korea. He has over 20 years of work experience including 10 years in ADB where he has progressively assumed various posts from Energy Specialist/ Project Management Specialist when he joined CWEN in 2010 to Senior Portfolio Management Specialist in 2012 and Principal Portfolio Management Specialist in 2015. Before joining ADB, he worked as a Senior Project Professional at Fugro Consultants, United States.

Joonho will join other energy sector directors as the new member of the Energy Committee upon assumption of office.
