Memorandum of Agreement between ADB and Sustainable Energy for All signed

On 27 August, the MOU that seals the continued collaboration between ADB and SE4All was signed. The Agreement sets forth the framework of this collaboration in the areas of energy access, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate change. In particular, ADB and SE4All will work together in:

  • promoting the deployment of innovative clean energy technologies and business models for achieving universal energy access, increasing utilization of renewable energy, adoption of energy efficiency measures, and tackling climate change issues;
  • developing and implementing programs aimed at transforming Asia and the Pacific region toward a low-carbon economy; and
  • enhancing information exchange, knowledge sharing and capacity building of government agencies and other stakeholders in ADB’s developing member countries.

SDCC DG Woochong Um signed on ADB’s behalf while Chief Executive Officer, Damilola Ogunbiyi signed for SE4All.  The MOU is effective for three years after the date of signing.
