24 October 2026

Led by UNU-IAS with partners including IPSI, EcoAgriculture Partners, CGIAR, UNDP, FAO, the CBD Secretariat, and ADB, this side event draws on evidence from landscape initiatives across regions to show how inadequate investment in landscape governance undermines long-term outcomes. Across the initiatives analyzed, governance funding gaps exceed 50%. The session will share lessons for policymakers, donors, investors, and practitioners on investing in coordination and enabling conditions for landscape approaches.
