Women’s Adaptation Plan for Monhapur Road: Co-created by Women’s Groups Through Participatory Adaptation Labs

The presentation described a women-led adaptation plan for Mohanpur Road in Bangladesh, developed through participatory processes involving local women’s groups, which identified key climate risks such as flooding, erosion, and waterlogging and their impacts on mobility and livelihoods; it outlined a set of prioritized structural and non-structural interventions to improve road safety, resilience, and water management, while emphasizing women’s active roles in monitoring, maintenance, and community engagement to ensure more sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient road development.
