Using Multi-Hazard and Criticality Analytics: To Strengthen Road Network Resilience

Author / Speaker

This presentation outlined how multi‑hazard and criticality analytics had been applied to assess climate risks to national road networks, showing how hazards such as flooding, earthquakes, and landslides had affected infrastructure and how combining risk analysis with rapid, data‑sparse traffic modelling had identified vulnerable corridors and priority areas for adaptation. It demonstrated that these methods had supported evidence‑based planning for more resilient transport systems while noting that improved hazard data and cost information were still needed to refine adaptation strategies.
