A deep dive session on wetland ecosystem services, this takes off from the importance of wetlands to examples of how interventions can benefit both society (human beings) and nature. Different approaches such as (i) natural infrastructure (nature-based solutions) and (ii) coastal blue carbon (natural climate solutions). Natural infrastructures have been resulting to immense benefits such as strengthening and protection of coastal areas (where people and enterprises including diverse species prefer to reside or visit), ability to self-maintain and self-repair after storms, natural tendency to keep pace with sea level rise, and cost-effectiveness.
