Unlike grey infrastructure, nature-based solutions (NbS) uses or mimic the natural environment to solve various urban challenges, and these solutions are often cost-effective and have multiple co-benefits, whether economic, social, and/or environmental. Through a thematic workshop, the ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund (AASCTF) aims to demonstrate how to implement NbS in urban settings with the support of digital tools, and attain benefits such as flood mitigation, urban heat island mitigation, increased land value, and improved local biodiversity. At the end of the workshop, participants will improve their knowledge and skills to develop green, livable, and resilient cities.
