Rt. Hon. Helen Clark, former New Zealand Prime Minister, highlights how gender inequalities are persisting despite advantages in having women in leadership positions. Addressing a crowd of 600, she emphasized that there are proactive steps that we can take to grow the numbers of women in leadership positions. She also reflected on how these remaining barriers can be addressed through legislation, labor force participation, pay equity, provision of social services for women, representation of women in various social, economic and political structures in our society, and promoting family-friendly work cultures, gender-sensitive recruitment, and gender-fair career development practices within organizations.
