Financial Education for SMEs: Case of Japan

Japan does not have a specifc national strategy for the financial education of small and medium enterprises (SME), but it has a broad national strategy for financial education that targets different levels of the school curriculum. Moreover, it encourages financial institutions to advise clients on specific business concerns, while an independent government organization supports SMEs. These are just some of the approaches discussed in this presentation that show the various ways Japan supports financial education and SMEs.
