Urbanization brings not only economic growth but challenges--higher slum populations, congestion, and lack of access to basic services. Poverty and social analysis (PSA) can help urban projects address these challenges more effectively. PSA can improve project design, maximize project benefits, and reduce poverty. It can help address risks and vulnerabilities in urban projects.
