How do you know that the medicine you bought is not fake? Purchase with caution, especially if you are from the Greater Mekong Subregion.

Douglas Ball presented on the global problem of substandard or falsified medicines, and how they undermine health systems and progress in health policies. He focused specifically on substandard and falsified antimalarial medicines in the Greater Mekong Subregion, and how ADB is working to address the issue to strengthen regional health security. The lecture was part of the weekly "Health Talks" series organized by ADB's in-house Health Sector Group.
