Energy system transformation requires huge changes in the use of different energy vectors like heat, transport, and electricity. The use of hydrogen as an alternative source of energy can help decarbonize the energy system. Gas networks ensure efficient infrastructure use as they create low-carbon energy systems and cause less disruption in urban areas.
