Road Safety Data Systems 2 - Collecting Data
25 June 2014
Author / Speaker

The starting point for the collection of road safety data requires an assessment of stakeholder needs, and identification of the data that is already available. The improvement of data systems also requires these same steps. In this module, the data collection process is explained, particularly current good practice in collecting data from the police. Other sources of information including hospital data are also discussed. Effective management of road safety also requires the collection of non-crash data.
