While access to improved sanitation in urban Indonesia is developing at a very slow rate, the capacity of wastewater service delivery organizations (SDOs) is also very weak. The Indonesia Water Supply and Sanitation Institute project recognizes the need to strengthen local institutional capacity as requisite for effective development of wastewater SDOs.
