On 15 August, ADB approved a $5 million loan to improve the corporate governance and financial management of Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC) in the areas of financial sustainability, efficient regulation, and tariffs. The loan will also help improve the policy environment for private sector participation in electricity, water, and wastewater subsectors.
