Workshop on Output-Based Aid 22 March 2013 Philippines The training workshop imparted knowledge on how to design urban projects using Output-Based Aid (OBA) that will further the facilitation of accessing basic services for the low-income and poor communities. The event, attended mostly by ADB’s urban staff, employed interactive sessions such as lectures and open forum discussions in presenting the OBA concepts, designing subsidy mechanisms and institutional frameworks, mitigating risks, and monitoring of results. A case study on a particular successful OBA project implemented by the Manila Water Company in the Philippines was also presented.
