What has COVID-19 Taught Us About Asia’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response?

The COVID-19 pandemic sparked an unprecedented global crisis, resulting in significant loss of life, income, welfare, psychological well-being, and education. The uncontrolled spread of the virus exposed the gaps in national and international approaches to health emergency preparedness. Based on findings from a newly released report, panelists explored the lessons from the pandemic regarding the need for investments in healthcare infrastructure and preparedness and provided insights into ways to prepare for future health emergencies.
