Webinar: Advance Pricing Agreement with the Practical Experience of both Local and Foreign Principals

10 March 2025
Sri Lanka

On 10 March, ADB joined the World Bank, Swedish Tax Agency, and local Chartered Accounting firms in an online seminar on Advance Pricing Agreements (APA), organized by the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka. The event focused on best practices, process steps, and challenges in APA implementation, aiming to support the Sri Lanka Inland Revenue Department (IRD) in its new APA program.

With Sri Lanka’s APA guide issued on 6 January 2025, the country is advancing international tax integrity standards to enhance transparency, combat tax evasion, and strengthen domestic resource mobilization. The ADB’s involvement underscores its commitment to improving tax compliance frameworks and fostering a cooperative approach to transfer pricing risks. Through RETA 10525 and the Asia Pacific Tax Hub, ADB supports its DMCs in adopting and implementing international tax measures.
