Virtual Training Workshop on Conflict Engagement and Resolution

05 August 2022 to 09 August 2022

Mediation, as a party-centered “alternate dispute resolution” (ADR) method, can help address conflicts that arise in the workplace and project implementation. ADR seeks to acknowledge and assess the impact of such conflicts in intra- and inter-personal relationships and encourage ethical communication.

Cohosted by ADBI, SASTRA Deemed University School of Law, and the Foundation for Comprehensive Dispute Resolution, this 2-day virtual training workshop used an inter-disciplinary approach that drew from sociology and communications theory to teach empathetic engagement with stakeholders.

It explored key concepts, discussed engagement modes, and featured roleplay exercises to build related skills and techniques. The focus was on recognition, assessment, and management of conflicts in pursuit of resolution.
