Virtual Seminar on Technology Innovation Challenge

The High-Level Technology Fund (HLT Fund) Management Team and the Japan Representative Office (JRO) organized a virtual seminar on 29 October to introduce this year’s Technology Innovation Challenge (TIC)​, where technology providers are invited to propose pilot projects using high-level technologies and innovative solutions for the announced development challenges faced by ADB's developing member countries. JRO Representative Harumi Kodama in her opening remarks highlighted the importance of integrating high-level technology and innovative solutions into ADB projects.  ​About 130 participants from the private sector, government, and development partners joined the seminar.

Another virtual seminar was organized by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service on 18 November ​for ADB to share the ​information of the ongoing TIC, which had 25 attendees.

Both seminars encouraged participants to pitch their innovative ideas in line with the TIC criteria on the following sectors and themes:

The deadline for the submission of Expression of Interest for Healthy Oceans TIC is 27 November 2020, 12 noon (UTC +8). For Transport and Urban Development TIC, the deadline is 4 December 2020, 12 noon (UTC+8).
