Get familiar with national health systems and the policies and issues related to health sector projects in the Asia-Pacific.
The Training Workshop on Health Systems provided an opportunity for ADB staff to examine and discuss fundamental conceptual frameworks and policy issues in health systems and strengthen technical capacity, contributing to policy dialogues and the design and implementation of health sector projects. Among the discussed were the role of government and the public-private partnerships in the development of the health sector, regional public good and health security, health service delivery, primary care and urban health, health financing, ageing and the health system, economic evaluation for health, and universal health coverage.
