Sustainable Freight and Logistics in Asia
There is increasing demand for freight and logistics in Asia and the Pacific as the region’s economies grow. In addition, the competitiveness of the freight and logistics industry needs to be enhanced to sustain the global trade and consumption stemming from the region. On the other hand, more cargo means more fuel use and carbon dioxide emissions.
This training, in partnership with GIZ, built on the regional training conducted in Singapore in 2014, which took stock of best practices and systematic approaches toward efficient logistics and green freight that are appropriate for developing countries in the region. This follow-up workshop focused on issues and options to improve freight transport efficiency and how to search for and maximize resources to start and extend optimal green freight and logistics programs.
Sustainable Freight and Logistics in Asia was a Postforum Training on Green Freight held during ADB Transport Forum 2016. Click here to view the ADB Transport Forum 2016 main event page and materials in k-Learn.
